What can I expect in the first session?

In the first session, we’ll explore your goals, concerns, and history to develop a custom therapy plan tailored to your unique needs and aspirations. This is also a time for you to ask any questions and get comfortable with the process.

Do you offer online therapy?

Although I primarily offer in-person appointments at my office, I accommodate online therapy sessions as well, for clients across Illinois. I align my therapy sessions with your lifestyle, oftentimes meeting during weekends, evenings, and lunchtimes to accommodate your schedule.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. It’s important to check with your insurance provider to understand your coverage for mental health services. Specifically, find out:

  • If my services are in-network or out-of-network.
  • Your deductible and copayment requirements.

If you’re using out-of-network benefits, I will provide receipts for submission to your provider.

Please note:

  • Insurance requires a psychiatric diagnosis to cover therapy.
  • I do not accept insurance for initial assessment sessions, as they are longer than what insurance will cover.
  • Couples therapy may not be covered by all insurance plans, so please verify with your provider.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept credit cards, debit cards, checks, and payments from Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).

Do you offer a sliding scale?

A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available based on financial need. Please inquire for availability.

What therapy methods do you use?

I use evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method, to help you overcome challenges and achieve meaningful change.
